Hello everyone I just joined!

just joined also...

Hey all - Done lurking. ;) Don't know how much time I'll have to devote, but figured with as much time as I spent on here, might as well pay for a membership.

Thanks, all,
Paul

Sorry for the dumb question - do we get a packet (info/sticker) in the mail or anything once we join? Or is there somewhere I need to go to buy a sticker if I so desired? thanks... Paul

Yeah, sorry all. I have been meaning to get these out and life kept getting in the way :( This is just the reminder I needed to knock it out. I'll get them out this week.

Thank You For The Membership!

Due to Allen's (FortKnox) recommendation I have been allowed to join ONSC. I have been a fan of 4x4 trucks (particularly Toyotas) for a while now and have been dying to learn more about them. My love afair with Landcruisers began when I went to visit some of my inlaws in Ethiopia. Everywhere I looked people drove Landcruisers. We drove the perimeter of nearly the entire country. We went from high jagged peaks on what appeared to be goat trails to blazing accross desert valleys. Sometimes there were roads, sometimes there weren't.

When I got home I tried talking to a couple of people who owned Landcruisers and other 4x4 vehicles, but was always snubbed because I did not own one myself.

When I met Allen, he did not care that I didn't own a truck, or that I did not know what a differential was or how it worked. He was able to appreciate my enthusiasm and took me under his wing. Then he invited me to HELLAHAMOM. I was excited to be able to go just to witness something this cool. I got to shake hands with a few people while I was there. People not only talked to me, but were genuine and friendly. When I asked permission to take pictures of their rigs, they were happy to show them to me and happy to teach me more. I am thrilled to learn as much as I can as a club member.

I am currently in school and do not own a truck. It is my goal to get the degree, get the job, and get the truck. I want to learn as much as I can about the sport and the technical aspects of the trucks as well. I unfortunately do not possess tools or technical knowledge, but I am willing to volunteer for anything I can contribute in order to bring something to the table and give back to this club.

Thank you again for this opportunity,

Christian Kammerman
