Anyone see the cybertruck ads from tesla? I'm not a big electric car guy, but will say the numbers and tasks it pulled off looked really cool!

I love EVs but I couldn't buy it just from the looks. IMHO I'd rather have a Rivian or Hummer EV but im not spending that coin on a car anyway so I'm not their target. I will most likely be buying a used Model S when the economy improves though.

Haven't seen the ads but I have seen plenty of fail videos taken by bystanders when they were testing the truck. But then any vehicle has fail video's out there.

I hope someone in the club picked up the moonglow 96 needing a brake booster in norfolk today. Seller said a guy was coming from RDU. #2 on the list just didn’t cut it :/

I’m sure some of you guys saw this but I didn’t see anyone post about it.
This 80 series sold for $51,980. That’s $80 more than the sticker price when new.
I mean, good for the seller and you probably won’t find a better example outside of a museum. But dang, that’s crazy money.

Wow! You're on the money about it being crazy money for sure! I wonder if there's a way to confirm the sale closed f(buyer paid)? As much as I love the 80 series aesthestic and capability, it's weird how a vehicle that's 25 yrs old sold for sticker price when even using the official Inflation Calculator | Find US Dollar's Value From 1913-2023 - https://www.usinflationcalculator.com/ shows that today the same sticker would cost approx $99300. Makes me think I got my 2021 for a "steal."

Just wanted to share a pretty cool mug my sister-in-law made me for my birthday. It’s an image of my 80 that my brother sketched up for her. She made the pottery and then over layer the image. It’s one of my favorite mugs.

Between Upstate and ONSC I wonder.🤔🤔🤔
5 acres bordering Uwharrie NF and the river? It’d be one hell of a base camp/ event area/ always open camp spot. I’d be willing to pitch in with a group too. Anyone down to possibly even explore this idea? Dm if you wanna do it that way. Hopefully the link will work up top.

What a night last night.

Had fire going in fireplace as usual. Heater was on when I first fired it up. That's fine. 2 hours later heater still on ?? ??

Check it. It's blowing cold air. I know tank is full. And besides it 4 degrees warmer than we have heater set at. Shut heater off. Nope. Fan still blowing ????

Shut circuit breaker off it shuts off. Flip circuit breaker again fan comes back on. Well shoot. Google help. OK. Maybe have idea to look at. Go outside looking for a switch of some sort for fan inside heater. Nope not here. Open where fan blower is . Nope but what's all this rust ?????? That's not good. Shoot. Gas heat coil things are rusted out. No heater. Had been told AC side was on its last leg last year. Now this side.....

Now to get new heater and get it installed. And just to replace it I need a permit ?????

Mine is a 2005 Trane gas heater/ heat pump. The downstairs unit is located in the crawlspace and did the same thing two years ago. I took down what part numbers I could read, found the parts online, and replaced everything including the main circuit boards. I found a part number update list on the Trane site that showed the old part numbers with the new replacement parts. It cost me about $600 at the end of it all but still working great after two years.

Thanks for the reply. Mine is rusting out and needs to many things for me to rely on it completely. I am looking at 2 grand in parts alone . We have been throwing parts at it every year now for over 5 years keeping it going.

Darrin, my furnace does the same thing, I believe it is its attempt to be efficient. If the ambient temperature in the house is warmer than the thermostat my furnace does the same thing, I believe it is it’s attempt to be efficient. If the ambient temperature in the house is warmer than the thermostat is set for it runs the fan to keep that heat circulated. But by the time that ambient air runs through the furnace, it comes out of the vents much colder. At least this is my explanation. Rafael would probably know better.

goodman should be avoided.

Reason I am looking at goodman is it is that it is a package unit. All of it is outside. The trane is split. We have a Nordyne and it has been good but too much is wrong now and 3 different companies have said in the last 2 years it is dieing.

about everyone make a external gas or electric pack. if you plan on being there for a while i would avoid goodman. they are a builder grade product. the quality just isn't the same. I am not in the A/C business and not current on everything outthere but, there are better options. if your on a budget of maybe trying to get someting in a hurry you generally don't have a issue getting a goodman. i mean it's an A/C unit much like a yugo is a car. alright maybe a little better then a yugo. ping roxx i'm probbablly not to far off mark here.
