Anyone have any advice for me on this:

  • Bought a salvaged vehicle
  • Title signed over to me - notorized
  • Haven't bothered to go to the DMV to make it officially mine
  • I have NO intention of ever registering the vehicle, I"ll likely pull parts/engine/brakes/etc and scrap the rest
  • Does it matter if I never actually transfer the title?
  • Will that be a hassle when I go to scrap it
  • Or, is it more of a hassle for the previous owner :)

Is your name on the buyer line on the title or is it just the seller's name/info and a notary stamp?

Last time I scrapped/donated a vehicle I just had to have the title signed and notarized, buyer name blank. I'm not planning on putting my latest donor vehicle in my name, straight to the scrapper with the seller's name notarized on the title.

Just seller's name and notary stamp. But it's dated October. Says right on it, if you wait more than a month to transfer ownership there's penalties involved.

But if I'm scrapping it, you think I"m alright?

I think so, but I've never waited this long from notary to action before. I'm banking on it for my donor vehicle, lol.

Confirmed with the DMV. (verbally). As long as I don't intend to register the car, the signed over and notarized title is all I need to scrap it. On a side note, anyone need any parts from a 2006 wrx? :) Engine/transmission/brakes/wheels/tires.... At this point I've got no plans for any of it.

Front seats good?

This is awesome  $210 - wonder what he's smoking

can you text me a pic of the seats, and what youd want for them?

Continuing the BWW discussion, I did not realize Arby's acquired BWW in a $2.9B deal that closed on Monday. Created a new company, Inspire Brands to run both chains. CEO's focus is to turn around BWW and increase quality and customer experience like he did with Arby's.

I've never been to a BWW and rarely go to Arby's (or any fast food for that matter) but it looks like a lot of the complaints mentioned here could soon be addressed.

Anyone got big plans this weekend? Looks like a nice day Sunday
Sunday is Brakes on the yukon and the 80 and a T-stat in the mustang....Truth be told I'll be thrilled if I can find the time to get just one of them done.

I've got plans to finish my drop brackets to address the caster on my 80.

You thinking about doing the falls on Monday or the gorge? I can be to the south end of the gorge in about 2, the falls takes about 3 to get to.

Was thinking south end. East side. Wolf pit road dead ends into trailhead. ~6 mile to table rock if we left a car there or 12 out and back. Its flatter in case its soppy.

@jamesurq is a tentative yes.

Catawba and Fonta flora close by to negate any health advancements ;)

(Std disclaimer applies all participants should double check my mileage and time estimates, right james?)

Is this Shortoff? Ive looked at it before and its like 3,000 ft elevation gain in those 6 miles?
