You had a sucky heat exchanger. Plain and simple. Or a poor install.....

Ditto... mine works great. I am all about finding ways NOT to have to pack things ;)

Kurt,
Echo that. We have used the aux propane heaters...they just take up too much precious space inside an LC. And we burnt up one of the POS propane heaters because once you get it fired up you have to constantly run water through it (a waste of clean water) or it literally melts the integral copper and plastic tubing (go ahead as me how I know this!)...so while your showering you need to be sure the pump pick-up stays submerged in the bucket or lake and doesn't pull out or run out of water...crazy design and they have the noogies to charge 2 bills and up for them

Plus the engine HE is one less thing to remember to pick up when leaving the camp site, etc.

Hot water shower

Hey there, a local plumbing supply house will have the connectors you desire, they are a water quick disconnect, cost about $7.00 for the sdevice, if you cant fine them I have several in stock, be glad to send one to you. One pair that is, you need in and out. On your water hose be sure it is potable water rated, or it may smell like plastic, and taste just as bad. The little lady wont like that at all.I have that as well if you so desire. Let me know. Rubiconcruiser@msn.com. Jim C.
