In putting together our suspension package, I think I selected too heavy a rear spring. Ride's just a little bouncy. Thinking about adjusting the rear BP-51s a little softer in compression and stiffer in rebound to compensate, but also think I installed the springs on the wrong sides of the vehicle (have approximately 1.25 inches rightwards lean in rear only), so need to take them off anyways, and may as well take the opportunity to fit a more optimal spring if there is one.
Right now, I have OME 2723s, which are the constant rate 440 lbs items with a claimed .75 inches lift.
Weight on vehicle's rear right now is ARB bumper w/o swingout, matching spare on stock rim with 275/70-18 Toyo ATIIIs, 3rd row removed. Plan to fit sliders, and a 12.5ga LRA in near future. No drawers, nothing on roof ever, but occasionally run a PakMule hitch carrier with a fair bit of weight on it.
Details on build here: OE Long Travel 200
The logical thing to do is step down to 2722s, which are medium load, .75 inches lift, and I believe progressive.
Just figured I'd run this past the brain trust here before ordering. Anyone have experience with a similar setup?
