I still need to measure the height, but here are some more pics.

Looks like i need to pull the drives side spring and spacer and re-seat it. arg.

Looks great Brett.

Sorry I couldn't help with the install.

Brett, looks great man!!

I was in the same boat with you on the spacer issue, except i had Mr. Gasket spacers (may be the same thing MAF sells, i dunno). I realized over time and after adjusting that damn spacer over and over, that it just is not the best option. I would find that my rig would often have a random "pull" to the right some times, and others it would pull left because the spacer would become unseated or the spring was no longer centered on the spacer. I ended up taking the spacers out and it drove straight, tracked great and overall ride quality improved.

With that amount of height, i would pull that spacer out and drive it. Then make a decision. JMHO.

I love the look, but I might remove the spacers.

my measurements post-lift:

LF: 25.5"
RF: 25"

LR: 25"
RR: 24.75"

I will have stink bug, but my caster might be back in spec. I still have some wandering with the slee plates installed.

Your thoguhts?

to me that is ideal height for an 80... looks good, hope you figure out the front spacers...

Stock Height

Brett,
I just measured my stock height 94 and got 19.5 front and 20.5 rear. The only thing not stock on my truck is that the hitch has been removed, so - 45lbs in the rear. I do like the look, now we need to go out and play with the two new rigs. Later, Z

I am glad I was able to get you addicted!:flipoff2:

I don't think you will have terrible stink bug. Plus, look at all other OEM suspended SUV's on the market; they all have a slight stinkbug. Just my 2cent. :hillbilly:

Adding yellow caster bushings will make the tie rod interfere with the control arms.

Some guys that have added caster plates have intereference already, if their rig had high caster values in the range from the factory. I have less than 1/4" clearance right now with plates.

Check for interference with the plates at full lock first.

Wow, I have 6" of lift? no wonder the caster plates arent enough. Time to take out the spacers....

I think you may be right. I can always stick a few bags of concrete in the back to weight it down :D

Agreed. I do not have much clearance. I am good lock to lock right now, but only 3/8 inch gap....

I just removed the man a fre spacers and i went down to 24.25 LF and 24.0 RF.

I will go test drive and see if it handles differently.

the drivers side spring took about 5 min to get out. The passenger side took about 30... ouch.

PM'd you - my F.O.R. Gen I kit is for sale to cure all of these problems :D

I think that truck looks amazing with that lift. There's gotta be something you can do to those spacers...

Thanks, I got to test drive it after I re installed the running boards and changed the front diff fluid.

The caster problems appear to be gone 100%. I will take it a few hundred miles tomorrow and offer a better review, but for now it seems that removing those spacers really changed the handling. The front drive shaft was beginning to vibe a bit on deceleration, and now it is non existent. That 1" - 1.5" made a huge difference.
