Been hectic at work lately no time to post much, so here is a few pictures from a recent trip to PG. Trail was pretty knarly, all three trucks had multiple hits to the body, I took out a mirror.... Not a trail I will drive 5 hours for again, but was good to see my PG buddy and to test out the 60 on a pretty hardcore trail.

Definately says ROAD, just tough to see in most of those pics as the weather wasn't the greatest and just the reflection from the window, but I assure you it does not say ford, it looks better in person anyay.
Cheers,
Deny

Great pics! Love the windshield stickers. There's no school like old school.

Thanks Rob,

Yeah I hang out with a few Ford Bronco guys and we were part of the local club, but it fell apart due to difference of opinion, and really I don't like wheeling with a bunch of YJs, Charokees and all that new crap that is out there now a days, it just isn't the same as back in the day when I used to only wheel with a bunch of old rusty Cruisers, but now with all the 80's and FJ cruisers, I am getting that same feeling in the cruiser world, and that is why we decided to start Old School Off Road. We don't like plastic bumpers, cupholders, and creature comforts (although the 60 is borderline!:hillbilly:) We believe in trucks that are built old school tough (read overkill) as opposed for luxery and on road manners. We all just like our old school junk.

Love that half cab EB. I always said if I wasn't a Cruiser guy I'd rock an early Bronco.
My cousin had one 876 years ago when I was 15. He let me drive it... had a flip front end, a hot 351, 4 speed, half cab, and old time bias ply 33" mud tires of some sort. It was a death wobbling nightmare and I LOVED it!
Tried for years to buy it from him, right up until I got my BJ70 in 1993... then I didn't care any more.
he still has it and it hasn't been on the road since about 1981. Pity.

Yeah I like them too, just would never get one. Although they are pretty tough, they are no cruiser. Not saying cruisers are better, just the ones I have had have always been super reliable and able to take the abuse I give it. I'll leave it at that;)

Well put it this way, in the 10 years I have been wheeling, I have blown one birfield, one rear end, and one rear drive shaft. The birf I was just tough on, the rear end was cause it came loose again, and the rear driveshaft because it was lengthened and the shop that did it shaved the tube to make it fit thus weakend it. Haven't really seen any other cruiser break real bad on the trail as most made it home under their own power. Since wheeling up here I can't count how many time I have had to pull guys out of the trail and home, seen from minor distributor problems, to axles breaking, t-cases spliting apart, wheel bearings falling apart, rear ends blowing up, million Ujoints, motors blowing up.....knock on wood my cruisers have been good to me and I hope they keep it up. I don't ever rub it in to anyone as all it takes is one major problem in one of my trucks and all can be lost, but I am sure my buddies appreaciate the good old cruiser getting us home every time. They all make their fun as my underpowered truck doesn't spin the mud as well, but that is probably why I don't break as many parts, just don't have the HP. And I still like all the old trucks doen't matter what you drive, I just have a personal preference:hillbilly:

Yeah but your crazy, I seen you Wheel!:flipoff2:

I thought Kim was getting a special version of the window sticker! Looks like a lot of fun. Tooo bad I was busy again this weekend..............wheeling in Alberta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Next summer I'll get my priorities straightened around.

Maybe.

Yes see other thread about Kim PG sticker.:hillbilly:

I just saw this photo in the 60s forum and just started laughing cause it looks to me like the guy raising his machine gun in the back of the 40 is yelling long live Old School! Bitches! :hillbilly:
