We ebbed through alternating sequences of mountain ranges and lakes as he headed to Coquitlam. The scene was much better in person than what our pics caught. We hit Hope to camp for the night, about an 90 minutes from EBI cruisers.

@CaptClose as always reminded me of Andres. Swiss precision on tent set up and tear down. The black cat was around us all night. It jumped into Brutus without us knowing. Then got a tent lesson from @CaptClose.

I dared not think what seeing a black raven and a black cat on the same day meant for our journey ahead.

We broke camp and darted with child like giddy to the Cruiser candy store.

Day 5- September 5th morning

Hmmm EBI. We snuck in before Steve (owner of EBI) opened the store. Cruisers abound in the lot outside. Some new, some old, rust in all, some becoming organ donors for some to continue life.

Steve came in at 8:30a with his English mastiff. @CaptClose came prepared in his steel toed shoes to pillage the bounty inside.

Parts that will give Old Landy new life.

Steve, thanks for making the next years of Old Landy as memorable as it has been thus far.

@Cowboy45 is indebted to your passion for these great rigs.

As we were about to head out we met this lady who came to pick up her sons 40. Got to chatting turns out she paints monster trucks with the crazy paint schemes. Unassuming to say the least.

@CaptClose was quite perplexed as he walked into a passionate discussion by Steve on (transmission) shaft sizes.

Negotiations with Steve went well

We left EBI and headed toward the border. Brutus was happy under the load. We hit the US border crossing and inched toward the boarder gaurd. Having learned about firewood from our our US crossing into Alberta we asked Steve if he wanted our firewood. Turns out he was low. :). Phew.

We got to the gaurd post not knowing if we would be quarantined to sanitize the Cruiser virus. The gaurd asked what the motor was for? Said it was a core to rebuild for a landcruiser. He asked to see some pics of the Landcruiser on my phone. Luckily, almost every picture was of LCs. He flipped through them with an acute frown.

Worried out of my wits, the gaurd looked up and said “ hang on, hope my supervisor does not see me...” He then flipped out his phone and shared pics of his muscle car restoration. Then he went on to say, “I get it... move on”. No inspections. No taxes. Fastest crossing ever! Black raven and black cat did not affect us yet. So we thought....

As we pushed through Seattle, we called Samson Tug and Barge to find out if Old Landy had arrived.

The good news - barge had arrived with Old Landy.

The bad news - two barges stood ahead of Old Landy to be offloaded. Expected offload date was not today, rather Monday next week.

In panic we make some calls and were able to pick it up tomorrow. Phew. Raven perhaps. But not the combo.

We head off to the Uhaul to pick up the autohauler.

The Uhaul place and staff were a uhaul version of a barber shop.

Meet foreman - he just bought a used AMG. Ripped his bumper while parking it. He is a budding body guy.

The owner helped us hook up the trailer. Talented in many ways. Reportedly an engineer, a contractor, Uhaul specialist, and a used car salesman. He is a budding plumber in the making.

Did not know that Ostrich feathers were in high demand at Cabaret clubs.
I know that :)
Josephin Baker wear such feathers and bananas too.
"...Josephine Baker was famous for her sensational dance performances. She often wore nothing but a few ostrich feathers, and her famous banana costume...
Josephine Baker - Wikipedia

Did you know Josephine`s truck was an Ostrich Carriage... not a J4 nor a Mercedes-Benz.
