oil pressure max?

I am about to buy an aftermarket mechanical oil pressure gauge.
I am wondering how high the gauge needs to go/read.

The VDO gauges I like are 0-80psi and/or 0-150psi.

I don't know what pressure my engine makes because I only have the factory gauge.
Is 80psi high enough?

80 it's hi enough .. I've seen my 2H going over 80 cold if I rev it up .. but that's not good ..

IIRC range operation goes between ( normal operative temp ) 4.3 PSI and 64 PSI ( from idle to 3k RPM )

A 28-year-old 13BT would be working pretty hard to best 80PSI.

Interesting thread .... Most Cruiser guys are concerned with low oil pressure, not high.
