You're right! Wow, that's stupid. I would want the auto tranny and full time 4WD and I can't have it. Just stupid. That is a very cool site though. LOTS of details there if you sit and look around.

Does anyone know how hard it is to change spark plugs; and maintenance in general?

I laugh at the supposed advantages over a Jeep Wrangler. You still cannot remove the top of this thing....

" missed, wide right! "

I just noticed this: on the "build your FJ" site, they have the price on the AT as being 22,890 and the MT being 23,300, the exact opposite of the doc that Yoop posted up.

I wonder if they even really know what the price will be? Or if the people on the marketing/launch team for this thing are all drunk?

I agree completely. And if you are comparing paper only, Jeep also has a front locker... and front solid axle.

A solid LP Dana 44 front axle with weak ass 27 spline Dana 30 outers that the locker just loves breaking the second you go bigger than 33's...

Comparing paper, I'd rather have 30 spline front axles even if they are IFS. They should be at least as strong as stock mini solid front axles, hell maybe Mr. Long can test an 03+ 4runner or 05 taco axle and find out.

You heard wrong.

I think it would be stupid to compare the FJC to the wrangler, but compare it to the cherokee. That would be like comparing the FJ 60's to the FJ40-50's.

Just my $.02

I cant wait for the FJC to come out, I am going to buy one...:flipoff2:

Weird the FJ is actually starting to grow on me.

I remember when I first saw the 80s I was like WTF?! Kind of like my reaction with the FJ.

Sure it is not a 70 but the price is right for what you get.....

Yes I know what you mean about changing of times. It's like everything else when changed. I look at my refection in the mirror everyday and see a change, i dont like what I see because I am getting older :censor: but it grows on me. I do like who I've become so I am ok with changing of times.

My first son is now 4 months old and my wife and I own 88 FJ 62 and a 99 integra. I would like to get something for my wife to drive that will be safe and has multi functions, and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I am just worried about the blind spots of the FJC. So far I like what I see. But I will have to test drive one first.
