LOL I knew you were gonna say that! Just a smidge better maneuverability than the DRW day to day. Forest roads that look like a superhighway in a 200 feel real tight in a full size. That 2wd dually would get stuck on top of wet grass, literally had that happen once!!!
I am still jealous of your srw

We did 3200 miles through Teton, glacier, Zion and antelop Valley earlier this year

I was stalking everyone with their beautiful DRW

Wish Toyota made a Tundra drw

Happy Friday. Missing the dry trails albeit the snow makes it fun. These pics are from Keystone, Aspen, Breck areas. I really need to get my roof rack and lighting situation figured out.

That looks awesome. Wish I had more time to get out of town on trails :(

On the rack, just in case you did not know (Tim) Gamiviti who makes custom racks is local in Broomfield and is s super good guy to work with. Both me and my brother who got one for his GX470 could not be happier with ours. Gobi is also local in Aurora if you want more off the shelf.

Hey Ali,

I think I owe you a beer or two!

I will reach out to Tim. THank you for the heads up.

@stellz996 AHC is too integrated on the 200s to be removed i believe. Slee still runs AHC on his LX

I see youre in Australia, maybe its different that here in the States @stellz996

how the jell am i meant to run 34s then

Work with the AHC system. Don't try to work against it.

That thought shift in the 100-series forums lead to huge strides in progress for that platform. AHC can do wonders. And it in no way is a limitation for 34s.

One seldom talked about mod is a bodylift. Pair that along with large tires and AHC is where it's at. Tires for real lift under the axle. AHC for suspension lift on demand, yet keeping the suspension in the best part of its geometry for high speed handling. And body lift for bumper/fender clearance, while keeping the center of gravity low.

i can easily buy 2inch body blocks but this will leave me with gaps between my bar work and front end, gaps between chassis and body, rear bar and tailgate when i get that done

Yes, good points. Ideally, the bodylift would be a smaller adjustment, rather than a gross lift. Something like a 1/2" - 1" could easily be accommodated by the bumpers and sliders.

Let's assume 1"

So 2" from 34" tires, 3" AHC lift on demand, and 1" bodylift. That's 6" net lift. Nothing to sneeze at.

how would you go about keeping the shift leaver aligned and the gap between the sills and chassis hidden

Fat Amy got a 2" body lift on the boards and it's documented. The shifter box is tied to the body, so the level doesn't go down. And obviously the transfer case on our cars is electronic. Yes, the shift level alignment underneath might need some tweaking but it's doable.

1/2-1" would be easier to do and not be ridiculously tall. It sounds like a little but it all adds up to be a lot. It would be easy to cover gaps for. Either by moving the bumper pieces up, or adding trim.

EDIT: adding link - Yup. Fat Amy gets a body lift.
