Appreciate it! Custom job from a guy outside of Atlanta. Highly recommend. PM if you want his IG handle. That’s how he advises folks to reach out to him. He is tagged in my last post there. I have the same username there as here.

My dude, I’m not interested in that mod but it would be good for his business if you just dropped his info on here. He’d likely be greatful.

Just got my truck back with her new shoe setup and custom tuned Harrop supercharger. Absolutely incredible. Effortless power and huge torque. And I think she looks great in the Method 701 bronze with 275/70r18 AT3s. Here is a sweet TikTok that Pablo from Tandem posted, with a few screenshots if you don’t want to get on the app.

295/70R18? And man enough to roll that size in a Michelin LTX?! 😍

That’s a bingo! Really happy with the OZ’s stepping in for the EvoCorse that I always wanted…$$ saved for other adventures

Just need to tackle the front liner, and maybe decide on keeping the mudflap, but it’s off for now

Tell me more! Have you added a full write up of the charger install and results anywhere? Also info on the brakes!

Can you add your experience to one of the supercharger threads? I would love to hear all about this please.🙏

I just picked it up from the shop yesterday but I will do a full writeup and review for sure.

Backstory is I acquired the Harrop TVS 2650 supercharger from a Toyota dealership. It was a full set in very good condition that they pulled off a traded in Tundra. I paid $1,000 for the whole kit. I worked with Pablo Moreno and his team at Tandem Offroad in Fort Worth, a terrific shop specializing in Lexus and Toyota builds. They inspected the SC for me, replaced a few components, and made sure it was in great condition. They also handled the install.

Pablo reached out to Alex Link with ALTG Services, an authorized OTT retailer. Alex and Pablo did a custom tune on the supercharged engine. Pablo told me the SC sounded and felt great when they tested it with no tune, but after the tune it really hummed with strong consistent power in all phases.

Since I was adding so much boost and weight with sliders and bumper and maybe roof rack expected later, I also wanted to upgrade the brakes, which I found to be a little lacking in the stock truck. We went with the Powerbrake X-Line Big Brake 4x4 kit.

I picked it up yesterday and drove it about 75 miles after pickup on the highway and some back roads. It is a night and day difference from before. The truck is legitimately quick now. Coming from German SUVs (I’ve had Audi and bmw in the past and still have a Q7), my only complaints about the stock LX were that it felt sluggish and the brakes weren’t so sharp.

Not anymore. This thing definitely feels quicker than my Q7 or the X5 40i. You feel the low end torque almost immediately when you hit the accelerator, and it just keeps pulling. I’m guessing 0-60 in about 5 seconds, but the biggest difference is in the midrange. It used to struggle a bit when trying to pass a semi on the highway. Now it accelerates from 60-90 with ease.

And the brakes are a huge plus as well. You definitely get jolted towards the windshield if you apply pressure. The braking feels very controlled as well. It reminds me of the X5 feel.

Overall I couldn’t be happier with the outcome so far. The truck still has all the Offroad capability and comfort of the LX but now also has on-road performance to rival or exceed the Germans. It puts a huge smile on my face every time I hit the gas and get knocked back in my chair, or hit the brakes and lurch forward. And the engine note is beautiful, with just the right amount of SC whine when you hit it. Im also fairly confident that Pablo and the guys at tandem will keep her running like a top. I’m just super excited about the whole thing.

I’ll post some more thoughts in a few days after I’ve had a bit more time with her. I’m also taking her up to the Ozarks in a couple of weeks so we will see how she does on some trails. Will report and share some photos.

Regarding the brakes, here is a link to the Powerbrake website for the brakes:

In my opinion, this upgrade is just as important, if not more important due to safety considerations, as the supercharger. I found the stock LX570 brakes to be a little mushy. Not terrible, but also definitely not performance. They always seemed soft compared with the weight of the vehicle.

The stopping distance at 70-0 mph on the stock LX570 is about 179 feet, which is not horrible but also not great. And that's before you add a bunch of weight, larger tires, and engine boost to the LX. It's also assuming like-new brake pads, etc. For comparison, the Audi Q7 stops from 70mph in just 155 feet. Simply put, if I am going to be inevitably driving faster with a heavier truck, I needed to be able to stop it as well.

Powerbrake states that the X-Line kit reduces stopping distance by about 30 feet at highway speeds. That is a big improvement. That's the difference between plowing through the stopped car or deer that jumps out into the road ahead of you and stopping short of it entirely.

Based on the "feel" test, I can say that the new brakes are *much* more capable than the stock brakes. As I said earlier, it feels like the brakes in a performance SUV like a BMW X5 or Porsche Cayenne. Also, due to the AHC, the nose of the truck does not dive when braking firmly. It stays very level so you feel in control even when hitting the brakes fairly hard.

So I highly recommend this upgrade as well.
