Very nice lookin' Renaldy. You're FJ is almost all grown up.

Why do you have to cut out part of the metal for the winch to fit? I was under the impression that most of the aftermarket bumpers were made so that you had to remove the bumper to get to the winch. And it was done that way for strength and security......:hhmm:

1) That Warn bumper with the blue synthetic line would look good. (I'm starting to get all color cordinated, the blackness is taking over.....Stupid tree, well black handles and mirror are on their way). Are you going back with a 6 inch lift??

2) Colorado, If I'm blessed with some serious work during the summer or next year, I might come see one the Vampires that gave me the FJ bug.

3) Mike, the bumper has slits for adjustment, but (picture you are underneath looking up) the two back holes on the winch do not show even if you slide winch to the front, and you can't drill holes on the plate that holds the winch since it would be on a curb part (not enough real state to make holes further back). This is the winch I have and want and there is no way to safely modify the winch as far as I can tell, so the bumper will get slightly cut.

Well, before you start cutting that beautiful bumper do your research. Modifying the bumper could reduce it's structural integrity. Also, those bumpers should all be set up to accept a standard winch mount of 4 X 10 (I think those are the correct measurements). I think I would be more apt to get a different winch to fit the bumper before I started hacking the bumper up. Sell the winch you have and buy one that fits if yours really won't fit.......just my .02.

I had to change my winch from integrated to non integrated to fit. You do not have to remove the bumper to install. Cutting the bumper will void the waranty.
