Most of those warranties go to 100,000 miles. But if you don't have one, it moots the question.

Apparently it's the source of the Phantom vibration I experience between 30-45 mph. I have been told that the DS on 07 Toyotas is hollow and the balancing weights located internally can break loose and cause the driveline to vibrate. They originally thought it was a rear end thing but apparently when you swap a new DS onto my truck it no longer vibrates. I can live with it for now but if I ever get the spare $500 I am buying a new one.
Wow I am so glad I saw this... I have been trying to trouble shoot this problem for months and spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars replacing all sorts of s***. Now at least I know what I need haha
No recall as far as I'm aware and I am certain that if it's damaged it was my or my wife's fault. She was pretty abusive towards that truck before she gave it to me. I don't have an extended warranty and even if I did my truck has 90,000 miles on it. I'm not sure how extended of a warranty I would need to cover it.
Ditto. I had new u-joints as well as my CV shafts replaced all in hopes of a fix last year. I'm glad I didn't invest in the new rear end before figuring out that it wasn't the problem.
I'm still curious about how she bent a spindle in a parking lot.

Don't know if it would be better but I was just thinking out loud. I don't know s*** about driveshafts. I do know that Northlake Driveline in Slidell re-built both of mine after I installed the "new-to-me" transmission / rock box / t-case last year. And I talked with them about building new ones.
Last month Justin Holt of Rocktek fell from his roof while hanging Christmas lights. For those of you who have met Justin you know he is one of the nicest and most humble people you could ever come across. He has been active in the off road community for most of his lifetime.
Justin sustained serious injuries including a broken leg, arm, ribs and jaw. His jaw is currently wired shut which limits his communication. I ask that if you have his number that you not attempt to call at this time.
Justin is going to be recovering for several more weeks and to make matters worse, he has no health insurance. Justin is the sole provider for a family of six. He has four boys that range in ages from 2 to 10.

Anyone see the new Toyota commercial with the yellow FJC? It has a snorkel and what looks to be a defender lightbar on the roof.
