Of axle deep quick sand and broken panhards...

I take it back- I can't find an aftermarket panhard at either Manafre or Slee, other than the adjustable ones from Slee that (as far as I know) are OEM with an adjuster welded in. You sure they were aftermarket?

They are from MAF. They aren't stock ones with an adjuster welded in, although that would be pretty much the same thing.

Glad to hear everyone is OK...Porter and I wanted to join you but didn't make it past the mouth of Turkey creek. I was towing the trailer and didn't want to risk driving up the creek. I'd already sustained damage to the trailer trying to get up washed out creek banks...

We retreated to the 4mile creek camp ground in Klondike at 11PM. Sorry we missed you.

Brittan, you ever going to post up some pictures of this trailer Ive been hearing about? I hope it didnt take on too much of the damage you mention...

... I snapped my POS solid bar, front panhard rod. ... There John and I examined the carnage and found that it had been cracked a 1/3 of the way thru for some time. ...

Where was the rust, evidence of old crack, on the inside or outside of the bend?

Aftermarket panhard? What the hell for? The stock ones are solid... I'm sure there's a reason, or there wouldn't be aftermarket available. :meh:

X2, find a stock bar and call it good.

Inside.

Brittan, too bad we missed ya. There WAS a nice little boulder garden at the end of Turkey creek.

Heck yeah! It's always good to camp and wheel with you!

3 batteries is a bit much. There are some portable systems that only use 2 (I got that covered) and some that work off the alternator (I would prefer this route). Pricey stuff, but I've always wanted one.

Some guy is selling a setup in the classified that runs off the alternator, don't know for what application though.

Alvin,

You can build an alternator setup for a couple hundred bucks. That's what I plan to do...eventually.

Just more ammo to justify the expense for onboard welding! Go for it! we can fix my junk when it finally breaks..:D

Hey if anyone is heading to Turkey creek this weekend, I left my favorite splitting maul, on the pile of wood, next to the fire pit..:frown:

s***! That thing worked great!! If I wasn't gonna be under my rig, I'd say lets take my wifes XTerra the Wilcox route and retrieve it.

I have a spare alternator and was considering sending it to Premier and having them juice it up, buy their unit and leads and hook it up. It'll still cost 5-6 bills.

Nah... you can do it for a couple hundy.

LOL! If I didn't have to shovel 8 tons of DG this weekend I know we could make if happen..I'd be up for another 5-1/2 hour 75 mile cruise..:lol:

Hate to say goodby, but guess I'll have to build another one.:meh:
