OEM Winch mount (factory winch) Does anyone have any pictures of just the mount?

the US HF2AV does have a rear facing PTO output, Dan recently stated there is an oversea's version that also has a forward PTO output where ours just has a blank casting.

So would that overseas case with the forward output also have the rear output? That would be really sweet with a front and rear pto.

I'm a bit confused... Can you help me clear it up?

I thought there were esentially three types of winches. Electric, PTO and Hydraulic.

Electric = runs off of battery/alternator.
PTO = direct shaft drive off of the transfer case via PTO clutch.
hydraulic = runs off of a fluid pump (power steering or other).

So... What I see in the pictures is an electric Toyota factory winch. What does it have to do with having a PTO on the transfer case? Is the PTO driving a hydraulic pump or a 2nd alternator or something?

there are two diffrent OEM winches, one electric one PTO

I wonder if the PTO one would even fit on a LHD?

I have seen pictures of the electric on an 80, and I've seen electric winches called PTO winches, but I haven't ever seen an 80 with two forward shafts off of the transfer. How does it got past the axle & steering hardware to a fixed point(bumper) without contact?

PTO = Power take off. Can be shaft driven off the transfer case and is the most common. However, a hydraulic is also considered a PTO.

Electric has nothing to do with a PTO.

how much? if it is under 50 pounds I can pick it up for free.

I would estimate the weight to be around 40- 50 kg.

PM me if you are seriously interested.

I have the same winch setup shown in harveya's post. However, got couple of questions:

What is this item (circled in red in PicA). I don't seem to have this - only the winch controller cable).

On second picB (circled again in red), I have this part - what goes here and what is it used for? Looks like a lever. Do I need to use this to operate the the winch? Or the cable controller is enough?

I have this setup on my truck, The lever on the winch is to disengage the clutch, so you can pull the cable out without the motor running.

as for the ringed item in the left hand picture, i dont know what thats for.

the few times i've used it it has proved to be very capable!

Mine was factory fitted.

LOL - I labeled the diagrams correctly, but in my suggested joke to call cruiserdan with a part number for the entire winch assembly, I didn't know which part number applied to which type of winch - they both have the same PNC

G'luck with your build.

i have 2 hdj80 with mechanical winch. like i see there pulling is 4.5Ton. you pull with no problem 2 cars full on breaks towards each other.
