It looks like they have parts for 1984 and after. Does anyone know of a Toyota site still selling parts for older FJ40's (like 1970/1971 specifically) ?

Call your dealer and talk to a live body.

The code MUD1 doesn’t seem to be working
I looks like it is working on our end. Just processed an order using it.
Have you already placed an order? I can manually discount it for you. Just need an order number.

I did. I’ll be by tomorrow to pick it up and pay then. I’m down in SC.

Ruben comes through again.

Thanks for the hood insulators and pins.

@Ruben C , I'm looking for a few smaller items to wrap up some projects on my 1985 FJ60.
Dash lightbulbs in green quantity 4
Nuts and washers to mount fan to water pump flange quantity 4
Hoses that go to rear heater under floor quantity 2 87245-90A05
Fasteners that mount radiator to radiator bracket, lower quantity 2

Is this something you can assist with?

Cheers, James

@Ruben C Looks like I need a new head for my 1996. 11101-69107 is the P/N I found, what kind of price can you do?

Thanks, is that with shipping? Olathe toyota is the same price
Are you shopping on price point or or expertise?

It really does matter.

Fair point, I guess I'm shopping price point on OEM parts, there is a pretty good bit of difference in price depending on where you look. My local dealer parts counter quoted $2045 but their website is $1629. Parts guy can't match his own online store.

The online price war has caused pretty much all of the parts professionals to abandon their craft.
Apparently shoppers feel that it's OK for them to make money but not anyone else.
If you are confident in your diagnosis and you can identify exactly what you need to fix whatever you are working on, then by all means shop for the best price. Otherwise enlist a pro to save you from expensive mistakes.

I'm confident, the machine shop said my head is warped but the block is good

Did anyone advise you that the heater bypass bib and the throttle body bib do not come with the new head? They are close to impossible to remove without trashing them and should be replaced along with the head.
Only a parts professional would know that
