Agreed, most US made stuff (autos especially) is trash. This is why I drive Toyotas :)
....you do know that Toyota has multiple US plants, including where the Tundra and Tacoma are made, and employs something like 32K people here?

That being said I've usually had the best luck with cars made in Japan (including my GX and previous Japanese-made Subaru). Our Indiana-made Subaru is not as good of quality as our older Subie was, other than the engine/tranny that I understand is made in Japan and shipped over. However, my previous Mexican-made Mazda 3 was a great car in terms of build quality - better than the Subie and not far off from my Lexus.

I’m aware they are built in the US, I own a Tundra. It’s US made and solid but the powerplant is made in Japan. ..And most US trucks are made in Mexico.

Toyota’s manufacturing process is far more precise than the big 3. What’s also interesting is that they are not union. Neither are the American Honda plants that put out better vehicles.

The 555 joint is a china trash cast-copy of the OE joint. It is not the same quality and will not last as long. You can get them at NAPA but still better off getting LCA from Toyota.

Pictures of this “China trash” 555 joint. 100% of the 555 Sankei parts we stock are made in Japan, 100%. Like OEM Toyota parts there is a large counterfeit market knocking off known brands, perhaps your experience lies there?

We have sold and installed tens of thousands of 555 Joints and TRE’s over the last 30 years. Driven around the world on them (literally), raced the Baja 1000 on them, etc. To call them ‘China trash’ is misleading at best.

Cruiser Outfit is legit. I've purchased from them before when I had my 100 series LC, some years ago.

? The one’s I had from NAPA said made in China. 555 Senkei.

I only trust the dealerships for parts anymore.

Picture? Never seen an authentic 555 Toyota/Lexus LBJ that said "Made in China" and Napa would be dumb to carry a counterfeit. Was this for the LBJ of a GX460?

What year is your Tundra?

No pics, believe me or don't... but Napa is pretty dumb pretty often in my experience. The ones here in Denver are a complete s*** show.

Started buying everything online through Stevinson Toyota. Huge discount to buy online and pick up in person. Cheaper than the big box china trash half the time...

Tundra is a 2010. Had a few AC Delco parts on it from factory. Made in Texas(s).

Hi there Kurt, I'm new around here but want everyone to know you are spot on with your comment. Counterfeiting is a huge problem. Everything from spark plugs to axles. Getting parts from known venders that carry real Japanese parts such as Sankei is really the only way to go. Or bite the bullet and go do the dealer.

Spark plug counterfeiting has become such a problem that I get all mine from here:

Sorry to derail the thread but I think it's important for members to support the venders who sell genuine Japanese parts instead of saving a few dollars and getting junk that does not last.
