Not sure if many of you have seen the OEM door straps, these came with my 82 fj40 and were brand new.......but I decided to put em on my fj45LPB, kinda a funky set up but kinda cool.

Definitely high on the coolness factor!

whoa! and police can't say anything because they're stock :) (that's the way it works, right?)

i want some. do you know if these are one of those parts that we didn't know we could still get from the dealer? :D

no front plate=illegal(but no issue)
no seat belts= legal(but i do have em)
no door=legal
no window=legal if wearing glasses and must have a pair of mirrors

OEM door straps from the dealer=discontinued :(

they would be easy to make, not much to em, the brackets would be easy and the straps could be made by a canvas shop I am sure.

 i guess i'll just have to make some steel half doors

I had a set that came with the 65 OEM soft top I once had. The setup was a little different though... There was an eye bolt on each side of the dash that the straps would hook onto. The other part bolted near/at the door striker.

I might be making a OEM soft top 82 fj40 ;)

Definitely a retro look that should go with the 45 real well.

Those would look real cool with an oem soft top. :D
