I am using WIX air filters currently from Fleet Filter. A fraction of the price of OEM and they appear to be very good quality.

Do what ever lets you sleep the best, but this is one area where I don't think OE is multiple times better than this particular aftermarket part. For $32 I can change my WIX filter very frequently.

Check the for sale section as a couple of people are parting out trucks. I think RavenTai in GA has what you need.
