That's my favorite gen of 4runner. I had an 89 back in the day.

I love it. My first truck and my first Toyota. I'm going to be selling my daily soon so I can focus all of my time (and money) into the rig. I only work like 2 miles from home so worst comes to worst I can ride a bike...

That's cool. My 89 was my first yota and first 4X4. Many, many miles and smiles in that truck.

Nice ride....

What’s up boys and girls. I’m bringing this girl back to the San Diego area this month. Came up to Oregon coast for the last 6 months and ended up picking this up and now it’s time to get her out of this rainy rusty climate and into some dry heat. She’s a ‘97 LX unfortunately not triple locked with 282k on the clock. Originally sold in Hawaii (The salesman’s cars is still in the owners manual holder). Had to replace fan clutch, radiator, hoses, exhaust, belts, knock sensors, and an oil change. Hoping it makes the drive in one piece. She’s leaking oil not terribly but it’s messy down there so it’s been an issue for awhile. Look forward to meeting up on some trails down there real soon

Picked this one up about a month ago after loosing the engine on the 80. Its already made it to Moab, Canyonlands, Hurricane Ut, and Whitmore Canyon in the AZ strip.

The 80 will return as a trail rig.

That is a bummer to hear about the motor issue. Cool little ride

@Jhnpv Thats an Aussie or Uk rig, right? I don't think the JDMs had the quad headlight setup. Nice rig!

Hey guys. Been a Land Cruiser guy, wasn’t aware of TLCA until recently when a buddy asked me to come with him to Cruise Moab. I thought the OC TLCA Chapter was the closest one to me, but recently stumbled across this chapter through the Toyota Trail’s magazine. Here’s my 75. Previously have owned a 100, but fell in love with primitivity and lumbar damage.

Nice rig! What engine in that? What's the original market? Aussie?
