Threw code p0135 yesterday. Should I replace all of them, do to age of truck (2000 with 162k miles) or can I just replace this one? Will just replacing one affect the others?

And, are these Denso Amazon sensors ok to use..... think they are the right four for the truck:

I'd just replace the one. No reason to replace the others, unless you're getting a code. Be sure to dab some anti-seize when installing.

The 234-4169 is the one (or two) you want for the upper bank. I replaced both a few weeks ago and I got almost 2 mpg back on average. So it might be worth doing both.

One of mine was seized very badly. The seized one did not look like OEM, and I suspect that insufficient anti-seize was used. The threads were damaged during removal, but a new one did go in far enough to be effective. Hit them with some Kroil for a few days before removing them if yours are old, which they probably are.

I replaced both of my fronts just so I would not have to do staggered maintenance down the road. I would hate having to do something of this nature every 6 months just because I only replaced officially "failed" components. Also, O2 sensors degrade in performance before they actually throw a code so knocking out the fronts should provide you with a fresh baseline when it comes to whatever the official terminology is for what they do.

Ok, where is the bank 2 sensor 1.... I have this illustration from the referenced site but still can't see it. By the illustration it looks like the engine cover must come off, but the instructions on the website don't say that?

Pegasis, for bank 2 sensor 1, I just turned my wheels all the way to the left and you should be able to locate it looking in from the wheel well. To unscrew I had to get underneath. Hope this helps.

Both of the Sensor 1's are located immediately above the cats. Crawl underneath, remove the skid and follow the cats up towards the engine a few inches. The wheel well approach didn't work very well for me, so I put the front wheels on ramps - didn't really need them, but it gave some breathing room. Once you are under there, you should recognize parts from the diagram. Bank 2 is the same as 1, but on the passenger side.

After some searching, I am confused about which codes are for which sensors.

Is p0135 for the fronts and p0155 for the rears, or does each sensor have it's own code?

The book that came with my scanner shows P0135 as bank 1, sensor 1 only. There are other codes for the other sensors. P0155 is for bank 2, sensor 1. There are a whole host of codes for the O2 sensors, with numerous possible issues.
obd-codes.com has a list of them all.

o2 bad cat

Hello all, i am also having problems with my o2 sensors. the only ones i see are located directly in front of the cats, on my 2000 LC. and this under the front seats basically no where near the manifold. i dont see any other o2's but everyone is sayng there are 4 ? could there have been different exhaust systems on the 2000 LCs? the o2 never threw a code but now my cat is bad and the o2 sensor actuall popped out of the exhaust . i put it back on with oem nuts at 5 bucks a piece and the senors popped off again ? and now my cat is shot only 95000 miles.

Read the link I posted. It gives the locations. The rear sensors are after the cat. You can't miss them.

Hit them with PB Blaster ahead of time to make life easy.

O2 sensors are indeed a "wear item". If they have never been done in 160k miles, it's time. I think in the FZJ factory manual they are a 75k or 90k mile item. I haven't found the interval yet in the UZJ manual.

Just ordered two of these myself. I'd be happy with getting any mpg gain at all, but 2mpg is nuts. Fingers crossed that this will put me above the 15mpg mark...
