Finished with the fronts today. Soon as the new calipers get here I'll be ready for tires & wheels.

Keep em white....

I'm back and forth all the time on that.

Option 1: stay with the oem look, go with Cygnus white on the wheels, redo the bumperettes in pewter, front bumper in pewter, etc.

Option 2: black on all the above. Not oem but I think would look good with the tan.

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts on which.

Option 3 I guess would be to go to the true oem wheels. Gray with the hub caps. Really don't like that look though.

Option 1 all the way

I knew you'd say that :) But they aren't the right white. They are the cream color that was on the later models, and look terrible against the Dune Beige.

I can get them sandblasted cheap/easy, and I know I can get the cygnus white paint. My dilemma there is that I either have to pay to have them professionally painted or do it myself.

I really don't want to pay a painter, trying to pad the fund enough to buy tires before the end of the month. So for DIY, I'd have to go buy a spray gun setup. Then do they need priming, or not? And oh yeah, I am a terrible painter.

My buddy sold his powder shop, and the new owners (as well as the other shops in town) are terrible. They can do black, but there is no way in hell they will be able to do anything close to the white I want.

I'm leaning toward finding a way to figure it out though. Gonna spend some time next week trying to find a way to make it look like this

Wait and do it right......in white.

I like the pic you just posted. Looks really nice! I'd go that way (even though I didn't when I did mine).

Option 1. You can't go wrong putting a 40 back as close as possible to stock, even though the wheels are not "correct." They're still OEM Toyota.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm gonna go option 1. Ordered a sample can of Cygnus white today. If that's too dark with the beige will go with Toyota 031 white.

think about your use.....A/Ts are IMO the coolest looking tire out there, muds will have a little more noise and probably wear a little faster but Tolleson can chime in on that.

not sure on the price difference, but for what I have seen you do with rebuilding that 40 I would go A/Ts all day everyday.

my .02 cents only
