The meeting will be at the Larry H. Miller Toyota dealership off I-25 on Motor Way.

Meeting starts at 7:00 pm. We can discuss:

  • Christmas tree patrol plans
  • Trial run planning/calendar for next near
  • Informal Christmas party/get together, I am guessing this did not get brought up at the last meeting since I have not heard anything nor seen any minutes. Yes, a little shot at the Secretary ;)

Please remember and be respectful, no food allowed in the conference room per Toyota management.

I'll be there ... finally.

Meeting notes:

  • Follow up with CO 4wd association to see when CLC club members (current in dues) will receive magazine, emails etc. - Luke (since he has the contact info)
  • Luke was elected Trail run committee chairman for 2013. He will have assistance from a few other club members for putting together a calendar.
  • I will check with the FS regarding the likelihood of Schubarth being open for our traditional January trail run. Winding Stairs was considered a good plan B.
  • Corrigan was voted in as a new member, glad to have him on board! BTW he has a very nicely built 80.
  • We will try to get Rick Ellsworth form FS to our January meeting to discuss trail opportunities.
  • We will have the Dec. 18th CLC meeting at Rudy's staring at 6:00pm as a Christmas/holiday party. This is late notice but those in attendance voted in favor. We also voted to have a white elephant gift exchange and Ryan has been authorized to spend $50 for door prizes. Look for another post on all this later today.

Please sign up for the Christmas tree patrol, even if it is only a part day.

What was the name of the store where some of you fellas bought your chains? I can't remember it but I know we talked about it at the meeting. Kent something?

Thanks.

A better investment for this winter may be a new air filter for all the dust.

Thank you.

You said "air filter" but I heard "snorkel". :)

Input on your meeting notes:

- Shubarth is closed and will remain closed until at least May (as will all Waldo Canyon burn areas). They don't want people accessing Rampart Range Reservoir and you can get to from Subarth.

- Winding Stairs Trail is closed and has been some time. Unless you mean just driving the 323 & 324 loop (which can be quite challenging with snow).

- Getting Ellsworth to your meeting. If you want information about OHV opportunities the person is Jon Pfeiffer. Rick is the volunteer coordinator, and Jon is the OHV manager (unless he's changed titles recently). You can ask Rick and see what he says.
