Many thanks to Charla and Tyler, Lili is back at home. Unfortunately, she is shy one battery, and has a slash in one tire. Not a happy camper, I'll be going through my truck carefully tomorrow to see if any other parts are missing/ damaged. I have pictures of her on her wheels and the tires were all holding air

Oh, that sucks that she's been violated at the yard. Glad she's home. Amazed at the damage, the driver's A pillar looks great and she protected you perfectly.
The odd part is it's almost as if it was meant to be, the wheeling trip for the fall convention, you came close, but it wasn't time yet, now this. Before mine landed on its side, the trip before I almost flipped, and that would have been much uglier. It just was weird timing for both 60s. Glad she's back home. Hope the new project goes well

Sorry to hear about this Phil. That really sucks. I did notice a couple nice 60s up for sale down in Nooksack. One was on hwy 9 just before the 544 and the other was just South of town on the 544. I am sure the first one was the same colour as your's. Perhaps Rob has seen them too on his trips South? Not sure if they are still for sale but if you like, I can go that way next time I need to go to Bellingham. What stood out most was - no visible rust. They are not the bashed up and chopped rigs on CL.

Keep your eyes open for a set of used studded tires for those winter trips. They'll be showing up on CL cheap soon. I only paid $200 for my studded Coopers that only had one season on them. I paid another $200 for the set of alloys I put them on. I am sure you likely got some rims to put them on.

So it just gets better, this morning, around 5:15am I lose control on an icy corner and slam the Honda head on into a line pole. Honda is a write off, man I'm tired of having accidents. the fleet is dwindling. Once again, I walked away with a scrape on my knee and a bruised sternum. The sternum is either from the steering wheel or air bag. Anybody need a driver? Could be exciting, I'm driving a 2 ton to Kamloops on Thursday, could be exciting for my passenger

Sorry to hear of your misfortunes. Mostly sorry about the 60 since it was a greater loss being a project truck and all .

Jeebus Phil. Glad to hear you're still okay. I had two accidents inside of 2 weeks on my 45, decided to park it after that for "awhile".
I'm just glad I don't have to drive to work anymore, sleeping on my commute in on the train now is so much better for streess management.

Tell me about it Phil, I have never been in an accident in my life (except for when the old guy drove into my cruiser in a parking lot making his bumper fall off and him driving away, but then there was no scratch on my truck so I don't count it ) until this year when I have put a beating on my work truck.

Hit an elk in May, Slid into a guy on my way home for Christmas on an icey highway caused by a guy doing an illegal turn and I just had too much weight to stop with my wagon on a trailer behind, then just recently sliding into a ditch!

I feel your pain and it sure makes me wonder what kind of driver I am, but heck s*** happens, just sometimes all at once Anyway if it makes you feel better, I still consider you one of the best off road mentors I've run across and I'd be your passenger anyday.

Had a close call going to PG last Thursday night passing a sander up out of Williams Lake. It was pretty foggy. A pickup went by first so I also pulled out to pass on the passing lane going up the hill above Pine Valley. Was at the sander's drivers side when i saw a semi coming straight at me. Guess the driver had lost the lane in the fog. All I remember is slamming on the brakes and cranking the wheel, then a shower of salt. Still not sure how we missed each other. Also made me think I need my RHD back on the road ASAP.
