Okay so I got the clear depo headlights off eBay like so many people have but can't find an answer to this.

Stock bulbs are 9005/9006 right? And these new headlights take H4/H1 bulbs... so does the stock wiring harness work? Or what are people doing to get them to work?

I swapped HID's since they were not just going to plug into the harness. The HID's were plug and play, however.

That's what I'm going to do. Well retrofit these with projectors and run HID's. Do you know which harness you have? These are my options.. maybe im just confusing myself but since the stock harness is a 9005/9006 and the headlights take a H4/H1 bulb, not sure how to make it work..

Off hand no, but I'll see if I can dig it up

Just ordered my retrofit stuffs.
(2) Mini D2S 4.0 projectors for a quad setup from the retrofit source (they currently have 25% off through tonight). When I turn my brights on, the wiring harness turns the low beams into high beams along with the regular high beams, so double the high beams basically. Should a pretty bad ass setup

Cruiser is getting its front diff fixed up since its believed that something wasn't set up right in it..

Also full new sound system. Pioneer double din head unit with full Rockford Fosgate speakers/amp/subs. Bitch is gonna be rockin!

That's exactly how I retrofit my 100 headlight (also depo clears). You're going to love the double high beam.

I only put in two projectors, so no quad. I wanted to keep my stock DRLs for simplicity, so I just did a Y adapter on the high beam to get it to trigger the projector solenoids too. Simply explained, I'm bixenon with stock highs as well. Nothing complicated.

Okay I need help. @nukegoat @jcardona1 and who ever else.

Ever since I got the truck back anything over 25mph there is a grind/clatter coming from the front end. It does it while coasting for a few seconds, feathering the throttle, and also there is a very slight take off vibe.. Andrew told me to it is probably u joints in the front shaft but theres absolutely no movement in them and it didn't make this noise before it went into the shop.

So I thought it must be the new diff gears. Tore the whole axle down this evening with my buddy Nick whos the lead at Torfab and he said theres absolutely nothing wrong with the gears, wear pattern looks normal etc..

We found a few things..
Wheel bearings were all very loose but no markings on them at all.
Not near enough grease in my knuckles but that wouldn't cause this sound
And the C clips in my RCV axle shafts were stuck down, which could cause the axle to walk. How ever there are no markings on the diff..

Im taking the third to have gear paint put on and tested to make sure the ware pattern is still good tomorrow morning.

As of right now we think it could be those C clips in the axle shafts causing them to walk, but doubt it. Or the double drilled flange on the front diff that could cause something to be unbalanced? Or lastly it could be the front drive shaft..

What are your thoughts?

Too much caster causing that front driveshaft to be unhappy? Not sure how that all works with the 3 link.

Good luck man, I hope yall figure it out quickly.

We have it set at 6 degrees so it should be okay... but idk. Its really becoming frustrating. Thanks though man

You have 6 degrees of caster with a lift and stock driveshaft?

Do you know how u-joint angles work?

Everyone has said my u joint angles are fine.. Im pretty sure Jose is running the stock driveshaft with even more lift and more caster. So I must be missing something then?

You may have a dry spindle bushing. If you had the job done at Torfab, I would be surprised if they missed this step though. Similar thread going on now. Happened to me after a knuckle rebuild. Sounded like a metallic grinding while coasting in my case. So loud actually, I had it towed at one point. Lubed it up and been good for thousands of miles...

Nick (lead tech at Torfab) was with me as we tore it apart and he said they were greased. I did tow mine every where besides driving it to Torfab once, maybe 10 miles. It was really loud and really painful to listen to

My vote is front D.C. Maybe go swap Andrews amd drive around and see if that cures it for you? Easy way to figure out the issue or rule out an option

You had a lot of work done...many variables. Did you look at the bronze bushings on the spindles? Did you see any signs of grooves? unfortunately, the youtube links and photobucket pics are unavailable on the thread I posted a couple years ago, but it sure sounds the same to me. Again...If you and nick saw no grooves in the bronze bushing, then that's likely not the problem, but I've seen this many times after a fresh front axle rebuild.

Yeah im going to swap drivelines if this doesn't fix it just to see if that does it. I might have to try andrew's but ill have to reset my pinion angle first before I'll know for sure.

Did yours do it when the engine was under load?

For me, it happened typically when my foot was off the accelerator and generally coasting downhill. It sounded like the rumble strips etched into the edges of the blacktop on a freeway, but metallic. Then it got really loud, and I thought I had blown a wheel bearing, pulled it over an called a tow truck. It was a freaking dry spindle bushing...couldn't believe I didn't lube it enough. Again, you have a lot going on with your build and a reputable shop did the work, but I was careful too and missed a crucial step...just a thought.
