I can't believe that I missed out on this again. Its what I get for not leaving on Friday like I planned. If I was "off-the-grid", I couldn't have received the phone call from work, guilting me into blowing off the trip to work on Sat.

So much regret, with only myself to kick in the butt...

well kick it good Jerry. IT was a great trip and we missed having you along. Just rolled in the door and found my tank leaking again. It was a wonderful trip complete w/ the one requisit bad night of weather followed by two gorgeous days. I hope everyone had a great time and arrives safely back home.

Tommy, thanks again for everything. Gotta love your locals :D
I dropped two chairs and a radio at your house that i believe were yours. If they are not your ill keep my eyes posted for someone missing a camp chair. (the kiddy chair is missing a threaded post on one side)

Looking foward to the pics !!!!

Just got back too, this was a fantastic weekend! Baby Bear, thanks again for everything you did in organizing this and being our tour guide. I had a blast.

For the caravan back to RDU: I called Greg b/c I wanted to take off to see a house in Asheville, I expected to run into ya'll on 40 but must have been a bit ahead of you.

oh man what a great trip i must share a quick story :D

First off great to see everyone of you get there safely and through without too much carnage ;) to speak of. A rough start to a beautiful weekend as we parted our ways w/ UC and headed up shocksnapper in the rain. It was great watching Sweet Jesus (s4, cause that thing is so BA and clean) taking this trail in the rain for one of his first runs out. cheers. And kudos to Mc Grubber for gettin through the weekend w/out a pinch at stock height w/ at's !! As always some entertaining lines from the threes company wagon as it popped and moaned its way around the mtns. :D The weekend looked questionable at best as we set up camp in 20 mph winds carrying a sideways drizzle but thanks to all, but especially cletus, turbo and old orange beard for the dinner efforts; not as planned but tasty just the same. Saturday cleared to be beautiful and even w/ a late start we headed out around bear camp. Unfortunately Papa Bear had some carb issues but luckily w/ the fleet of cadillacs there was room for two more for the trail. Had a great run w/ excellent timing in our encounters w/ the UC group. Nothing too difficult except maybe that hole that looked like a lil cub wallowed around in till it was impassible. Wild Bill, always a pleasure seeing you on the trail but watch out floored runner may give you a run for the money for the skinny pedal of the year award. And landfill, thanks for the trash run, and as always, nice cruiser! All and all another great run w/ everyone, Mama Bear had a great birthday and was pleased to meet you. see ya next time.

Jason, Good seein you again too. I have told at least 5 people about those Banana Bombs since last night. Great weekend. Now i see why you love that spot in Cullowhee!
Lets get up soon maybe for a quick shot to Uwharrie or somewhere close.

Guys, just arriving back to the capital city, had an incredible time and can't thank Jason (lil cub) and Rick Carswell down in UC for putting together such a great organized ride.

Hope everyone made it home safely, Barry (Landfill) and Orange Beards Revenge took a detour through Asheville to grab a quick bite at Barley's and then head on.

Can't wait to see the pictures as this trip I was just a driver and there to enjoy the trip, hope everyone had a good time and got enough food Friday night, even with the conditions, we managed to get make it all work, just took a little longer than we all expected.

It was really good to see everyone; McGrubber, FlourRunner, Tatersalad, Netgeek, Wild Bill, Lilcub, and Papa Bear, and also Dr. Doogie

Just got back and unloaded everything. Had a great time, thanks again to everyone for getting this together. Searching for some carb rebuild kits for the 2 jet rochester and one of my Aisin's now...

Alright - who is Papa Bear?

I will try to get some of my pics up tomorrow, to tired tonight to mess with it.

Glad to hear all made it back safely.

Brad

I had an excellent time as well. It was great to put a few more names to the faces and hang out with such a great crowd of people. I have yet to get to many of the outings (well this is only the second) but I can see how this is one of those events you just have to make sure you don't miss. What a beautiful part of the country.

Thanks to Joe, Brent&Mike, and Doogie (Will??) for the spotting help this weekend.

See you all next year.

Awesome trip and it was great to meet everyone (still trying to remember names and put them to screen names :D)!! Jason and others did a kick @ss job putting this trip together!

I think I've officially got the bug now (and the :princess: enjoyed herself too...after a bit of initial white knuckles and teeth gritting follwing Jason up shock snapper). I can't wait to wheel again, especially this place. I had seen pics from past trips but they don't do it justice. Beatiful land and super fun trails!

I'll post up some pics later.

Too tired to really post, but many thanks to all, especially Orange Beard for the ride and Cubby aka Baby Bear for heading up the trail guide duties (as well as The Partridge Family/3's Company). Pics tomorrow as well as "funny" recolections.

McGruuuuubber, McGruuuuber!!

For those who could not make it. Saturday morning is the first picture and sunday morning a little past sunrise is the second picture. needless to say it was impressive.
