noise from steering wheel inside cabin

hello, I've searched through the forums and haven't found exactly what my issue is so hopefully I can get a little help. 03 LX470 with noise coming from steering column. The noise is a kind of grind/whining noise. I have replaced the power steering pump cause of a worn bearing and serp belt whining, This is not that. I also flushed the fluid and of course added all new. Everything working great but this noise is annoying. I'll probably throw some dielectric grease at it but I'm interested in any thoughts or ideas. Thanks in advance

Does this sound like your issue? I had it in my 100 and some wd-40 silicone lube took care of it.

I am pulling my steering gear to get it rebuilt.

The FSM says to pull the steering wheel. I was very reluctant to do so, then realized this is an opportunity to take care of the squeaking when the wheel gets turned more than 90 degrees.

Any suggestions on what lubricant to use? And where exactly to use it? (In case it’s not obvious when I have it apart?)

X2 on the Clock spring. Mine makes some noise when turning the steering wheel. On my to do list.
