My friend put a new head and a lot of PM parts on a mid- 90's 22RE Pickup. Now he's got it all back together and he has no spark. He did not change the Cap and Rotor yet, and he says the coil have 12 ohm of resistance (book says 9-15). Any tips I can give him before the weekend?

Update
Ok I went over to his place tonight. Not that I could do more them him. He's rebuilt dozens of 22R in the past. But one thing we found weird was we can't check for CEL codes on the computer. It's a 94 so he installed the jumper wire and the CEL won't flash. Any more ideas?

Maybe the ECU doesn't have power? Something could have grounded out and popped a fuse? Worth a check... Have you checked if the wire from the coil has spark?
