Ok so after putting humpty dumpty back together after fixing my engine misfires, I ran into a window/electrical problem. I had all the windows and sunroof open for about 3 weeks. When I finally closed them, all but the driver/front went up fine (including sunroof). The drivers window did go back up a few inches and stopped, so I rolled it down, then it wouldn't go up again. I could hear the window motor making a faint noise so I assumed cleaning, motor, etc. However, before I took it all apart, all the windows stopped working (no more motor sound) as well as the sunroof.
I have had this issue before, but it was a January weather issue thing at the time I believe, and it just started working on it's own when it warmed up a couple days after. One thing a few months back, I stopped being able to get the front-passenger window down from the master (up worked still), but up worked at the passenger side control.
I have done searching but can't seem to find a good answer, but is the sunroof linked in to the master switch at all, or is it just on the same 30a fuse? My door locks work fine though so not sure if this is entirely switch related. 30a fuse seems ok on multimeter too. I have not tested anything on the actual switch harness though, so I assume this is my next step.
I may just power the motor directly from the battery to get the window back up for now as I haven't driven the truck in about a month, really missing it...
Any suggestions for troubleshooting steps is appreciated, electrical is not my strongpoint and the EWD makes my head hurt.
