Hey, I"d know what to do if it was a 40. No idea where to go how to start or what parts are needed to make the first two speeds work on my hilux (85). Had three till the other day, now only the top two speeds are churnin.

Very common problem. The resistor has fried. Easy fix.

Look under the dash, passenger side, kinda behind the bottom of the blower motor. You'll see it attached to the air box duct at the output of the motor housing. Unplug the harness, unscrew, pull it out. I wouldn't bother trying to repair it, it will just fail again. You'll need your VIN to get another one, so they can make sure you get the correct 3 or 4 speed resistor.

Thanks all, I'll get on it. Great help!

Could be a fried blower motor. It's easy to get to the plug, put a meter on the connector and see if there's voltage.
