Not with a bang, but a whimper......
Turns out you don't get any spark when your cam shaft isn't turning the distributor.....
I ran out of day light, but I know for sure the drivers side (It was a metal guide Engnbldr kit with around 30k on it) chain guide lost it's top section, and the chain was hung just perfectly so the 2 broken ends were at the very bottom, just touching the crank sprocket.... No noise, no grinding, no bang. I thought I'd stalled it!!!! Don't know about the valves yet.... They all go up and down still, I think I'll check all the valve clearances tomorrow, and if they check out, maybe I didn't bend any.... Fingers crossed. Stay tuned!![]()
