so a TC out of a 2002 105 series with a 1hz full time 4x4 will not work? (Australian build)
Short answer, no.

You can make them work, but it requires pulling the t-case apart, swapping the input gear, and plugging a hollow input shaft

1hz powered 105s use a light duty R151 gearbox. The t-case were built to suit the r151 gearbox

OK, found a replacement TC. looks to be the same version. can anyone tell me what the blacked off sensor is shown in this picture? My original has a plug.

In the throws of putting bits on the replacement TC from the old one.
Question...

...on the new TC if I turn the rear output shaft by hand the input shaft turns as one would expect.

But nothing is happening to the front output shaft. If I turn that by hand nothing happens. seems to turn freely.
If I turn the input shaft it some times will lightly turn the front output shaft.

Am I correct in assuming that the front is driven only when under higher speeds?

Or is there something wrong with the front output shaft?

currently no actuator installed on the TC.

Never mind. worked it out.
Watching a OTRAMM video he mentioned coupling the two outputs. where the actuator would be normally.

works as expected.

Now to finish up and install back in the 80.
