Bumping this thread…

Any recent input on this tire? I see that this size (285/70/18) is relatively limited with selection…

The EXO grappler looks to be potentially better for a daily driver that occasionally sees Trails…?

I am close to 20K miles and still like these. Certainly more noise compared to stock but better handling on-road and exceptional traction off-road.
The only remaining question is how long they'll last. A very decent option, in my opinion.

I see so many people speaking of them as a "winter tire" and I know that winter is a tough time for several regions of the US, but for us that don't have heavy winters, I would like to hear about others that have experienced the tire as an all around performance rating. Roads, backroads, gravel, dry trails, mud, etc...

thanks!

On the drive back home from Discount Tire, I did not feel any rubbing. Pretty quiet and smooth ride.
A bit better, less floaty handling. A definite improvement in handling in my opinion.

Pretty happy about the ~1.5” more ground clearance too.

Hi man, any issues since the install with rubbing? My 2016 is stock, and wouldn't mind dropping in this size tire if it will fit without modifications. Did you run a spacer?

cheers

I have a BP-51 lift and there is rubbing on full lock/turn. No other rubbing on or off-road. This can bother some folks but I am OK with this.
Prior to BP-51 i.e. in stock form as far as I can recall, the rubbing was obviiously present on full turn. I did go on some moderate/easy trails and do not remember any rubbing during articulation. But I did not push the limits so its possible there might be some rubbing on max articulation and especially on turning while articulated.
Hope this helps!

I am planning on Iron Man suspension upgrade, so at some point I can remedy the rub if there is any. I was just wondering how that size fit when it was stock.

Thanks!

Just wanted to mention again that although they are decent in snow, I would not consider them to be a replacement for proper winter tires.
I have a set of Nokian Hakkas for that.

Do you have any more pictures of your set up with those tires mounted, from other angles?
