From my understanding, you can’t buy OEM second gen tundra ball joints unless you buy the UCA. Found some aftermarket tundra ball joints, but figured to go with a Japanese made 555 for 100 series. They were the most affordable too through cruiser outfitters.
Any luck on how the 555 ball joints turned out in the Nitro UCAs? I am in the same boat with needing new ball joints as well as bushings...
They work, assuming you have the final version before they went out of business. There is some info on ball joint options on post #39

For lads/lassies who have done the Ball Joints swap, can this be done via one person in a garage? No special tools or anything? I have NG arms with 2010 Tundra BJs on deck.
Not sure about that. Had mine professionally installed. It may not be super easy. I asked one mechanic first and he said he couldn’t do it. I then took it my usual mechanic and did it no problem.
This may be a for a different thread, but after reading through the posts I have a feeling most of the aftermarket control arms use the same blueprint/design, I have Freedom Off Road UCAs and the similarities are spot on as far as build. The next thing I want to do is measure the opening for the ball joint. Mine is starting to have some vertical play, I regreased them using the zerk fittings, but no avail. The Freedom Off Road website states it's an OE style ball joint, did anyone on here press a 555 ball joint into one of these UCAs?
