Nice ECU Tune found for the 200 5.7

I got this tune done a couple weeks ago. Same "Medium" base and "Spicy" ECT tune as "2014 LEX 570 GA" has. I gotta say, even in ECO mode, the transmission shifting and automatic gear selection is spot on. I haven't seen an increase in mpg, but I don't put that many miles on it since I have a company car, so evaluating that might take a bit. I will be driving up to TN in the beginning of September to visit my brother, so that will be a good test run. Even on vacation I will be helping him work on his GX. The curse of being the "car guy" in the family.

I even got a 10% veteran discount - can't complain.

Anyone care to share any new feedback? My local OTT guy is charging $650 so the price is quite a bit higher than other paid in the past.

I still have the medium/spicy combo. I forced myself to use ECO instead of ECT these past couple weeks and to be honest, I barely notice the difference in day to day driving. It's still in the right gear unlike stock eco mode. ECT just holds it a little bit longer. It's worth trying that combo first because all other changes should be free if you change your mind.

Damn. I think you could buy VFTuner and get the tune from OTT direct for less. Then you can flash it to stock if needed

Yeah that looks true, had a YotaWerx tune done to my GX460 and it was $400. Looks like OTT doesn’t have a standard price and lets their network tuners charge what they want. Looking at random tuners in their dealer locator across the country the prices listed can vary from $500 to $650. Unfortunately the only OTT tuner in SoCal chose $650.

It looks like you have to fill out a DIY inquiry on the OTT website. Who knows what that kit costs. I would think they have to protect their resellers though, or that model would collapse on itself.

When you go to an authorized reseller, it comes with lifetime support. They will put it back to stock or change it to whatever maps you want for the lifetime of the vehicle. Not quite as easy as DIY because you gotta follow their schedule, but not really hard either.

I did it and no regrets. I posted earlier my settings and forget but I ended up on the higher end with 33” E range ATs and it feels good to me. Not aggressive as the naming convention suggests. With your mods and weight you will likely end up on the high or top end of settings.

You can do both, but with the way gas prices are now, why go 87? Places like Bucees are in the $3.24 category

Edit: Nevermind. I see you are in Commiefornia. Sorry. Gas prices are a lot different.

Exactly, depending on station I can be $2 or more per gallon higher than the national average.

But what’s the price difference between 87 and 91? If 87 is $5.50 a gallon, paying 20 cents more is pretty meaningless.

It’s $3.50-3.75 for 87 here, and almost $5 for 93.

I tend to run 91+ because there’s a 4-5 degree difference in KCLV, and the knock correction has a direct and noticeable impact on the highway at 75-80. So I’m very familiar with the price difference. I haven’t see a $0.20 difference in probably 10-15 years.

40 to 50 cent difference depending on station here. In your opinion I didn’t see an answer. Do they tune for 87 or 91?

Last I checked(I have an ev so I might get gas once a month) it was like 3.30 for 88 octane and 3.50 for 91 in UT. Been that way for a 7 years or so. I’ve run 91 in all my cars cause it’s so close

If KCLV and KF are still active then, imo, yes it can still handle 87.

At our Costco, 93 jumped to .68 more than 89. 3.09 and 3.76. It was about .30 difference a few days ago. It seems to bounce between .30 and .75 difference.

First time seeing this thread, but this is the only info I was looking for, so I'm posting here for others' convenience. This is the dyno chart posted on their website for the LX570. Looks like a good $600 investment for improved driveability to me. No drawbacks anywhere in the powerband.

yeah absolutely. The tune improves a lot down low.

I am curious what about the stock tune keeps the gains so good below 4000 rpm, but minimal above.
