I was at the one in sooke...
All these mile pubs are confusing for someone go doesn't go out to pubs

Took a walk through and found NASCAR and legion people but no LC people. Some how missed a 60 in the parking lot. Haha Not sure how that's possible. Have to catch you guys next time

I found myself thinking the same thing... In the end I saw found one person I'd seen face to face before.

Sorry we missed you. There seemed to be a lot of confusion about this meeting, some were in the wrong place... And othes missed mine and another 40 (Wombat's) sitting in the lot ;)

haha actually i was parked beside yours and was looking for buddy in the 60 because he said he was in the parking lot. I did a walk through of the place but you get some pretty funny looks walking up to random people asking if they own a land cruiser and the waitress didn't have a clue. Just have to try again next time. Plus I spent the day fighting with some uncooperative MTU's :bang: so didnt really feel like talking mechanics any way.

Shucks, that sucks. We were in the back corner... You'd have found us if by looking for the group of mismatched semi-strangers, talking about an equally varied group of Landcruisers. An 81, 70, 42, and a 40 were represented. We'll have to pass around some numbers before the next meeting... Although I'd dropped my phone on the floor just before I left the house before the meeting.

MTU?

MTU The germans wanted to get into the world of big boy diesels but didnt have a proven platform in north america so they bought detroit diesel and slapped their name one it. The ones i was working on were a couple of particular hard starting V 12s. you can see they didnt even bother changing the valve covers from detroit diesel company.

Pretty cool work you do there. Are those in a ship? Generators? They sure look clean/new. Fascinating stuff.

Before the next meet, I'll give you a cell number to call, and I'll come meet you at the front of the pub so we don't miss you again.

Ya main engins in a 90 footer their actually 10 years old but thats the beauty of not having a budget. probably the only HD mechanic job where you can go home with clean girl hands.

Damn those are clean. I'll snap a pic of the ones I work on for comparison...lol
