Hey new member from Australia, You've got some nice trucks here.
I;m looking at getting a bikini top made up for my FJ73. Just wanted some pics/info on how there mounted to the windscreen frame as they didn't come with soft tops over here. weldings not an option as i have a fibreglass surround.I'll post some pics and stuff later when I get my camera back.

hello from england!
Is there anywhere on the windscreen where clips attached to the soft top could hold onto? like a bar. That's how ours on our jeep work, and hold it tight.
I would guess roscoFJ73 will know what to do ;)
good luck with it!

Thanks:confused: :DIve only seen 2 ways and thats the jeep way with the channel that you slide a beading through but you need a weld for that one.

The other way is with press on studs. Ask some who does the bikini tops as they may have some ideas on how to fix it to the windscreen frame

Yeah I will go in and ask someone about it I was just trying to see ho w there done from the factory. I was hoping that someone here might help. Might have to reword the thread to make it clear what I'm askin, it was getting late last night when I posted.

factory is welded hence no fiberglass option for the rag tops...
use a jeep YJ channel and screw or pop rivit it on...been doing it for years...BTW i make a kickass bikini top for these models...
