Hello I just registered so I guess it is time for the inevitable intro post. Currently I am working on a 85' 4runner that I saved from the crusher in January (it literally was inline to be crushed).
previously I had a FJ 40 that went through several iterations from stock resto in 97' to a buggy in 02' now all I have left of it is the hood and bezel.;p
but at least the hood is on something cooler now, I also have a buggy I have been working on for a couple years now but decided to put that on hold to work over the runner since my wife and I will be able to drive it on the street.
For the 4runner I am trying to build it as kind of a lessons learned project so many of the mods are not really hardcore but I have a buggy to beat the snot out of...
the list of mods to the runner so far:
94' 22RE (old motor was violated, spun bearings, popped H.G., timing chain wore through the case)
IFS box & high steer w/flat pitman arm
rear springs upfront
Mazda rears
vented rotors
IFS hubs
V6 calipers master & booster
Sectioned gas tank (I shortened it by3")
Bobbed 9"
To do:
finish the Exo and body work
put in dual cases
V6 rear w/lock wrong
fab rear traction bar
