Howdy everyone ! I just picked up a 1972 EJ55 that I plan on doing a ground up resto on. Its in great condition, drove it home, has alittle rust but its still all factory. I,ll get some pics up soon.

Where is the best place to but parts for the FJ55 ?

Looking forward to talking more and picking your brains :D

Have a great weekend
Bill

Sure, start off making us jealous about only a little rust.

Welcome.

Lots of info here, give the search feature a try.

I bought a lot of my parts from Sonny at FJParts.com He was real helpful and his prices are very competitive. His aftermarket parts are pretty high quality and his shipping is quick. If you are looking for things that are still available OEM then I did business with toyotapartseast.com All the parts break downs are available online and you don't have to fight with them to get a discount. They offer a pretty nice discount right up front with no hassle and service has been good. Biggest issue is it takes a week to get the parts. Just have to plan ahead. Good luck to you!!!

"Ground up Restro"?

You rob a bank, or something?
Seriously, before you start tearing into it, SEARCH, ASK QUESTIONS, and make sure your marriage is stable.

Ask yourself "What do I ultimately want?"

Well maybe ground up was the wrong way to put it. Its in great mechanical condition, nothing needed there, just some small rust repairs, paint and interior work. Going to paint everything that can be painted, then just drive it and have a great time with it !

Looking at all of the great 2 tone paint options and wondering which one I like the best.

How come no one has asked what an EJ55 is? :D

Ha ha ha haaaaa! Electric.....

Welcome aboard matey!:steer:
