Newbie stopping in to say HI-Mid TN

I've been registered on "mud" for alittle while, but never posted or replied much. There's just too many dang sites to keep up with. I go by just "hillbilly" on most other sites, but it was already taken here. So I went by the name of my garage/shop. I don't wrench fulltime, but do enough to help fund my addiction.

I just thought I'd stop in and say hello after being encouraged to do so.

Here's a few pics of the cruisers I own. The first is the beater rig with my little lady behind the wheel playing on my farm. The second is of my 45, that sadly is still in the same condition, but patiently waiting it's turn for some wrench time. I'd get on it quicker, but I seem to keep breaking/upgrading the 40 more often than not.

you can tell I'm a newb, I forgot the other picture. Here's the 45. Surprisingly it's in better shape than the picture makes it out to be. It's got an old car lot sticker on the hood that says it was sold at one time in Carson City, Nevada. It looks like a truck from the western states beneath the hood and running gear. Here's a link. I tried uploading it, but apparently I'm limited in space.

I see potential aswell, sawzall potential!! I had big dreams(don't we all), of restoring it and making a weekend driver out of it. The more I look at, the more I wanna build it into a truggy and have another unigue/different wheeler. I've got a set of tons and a set of rocks that are battling it out to see which will reside underneath it.
That might upset some of the purists on here. Who knows what I'll do, still have alot of time before the wrenches get turned on it.

Yea, we're pretty tolerant. I think most mudders like it stock or restored. Personally, I'd go SOA with 35s, a chevvy 350 and maybe bob it down, with all rust removed. Easier said then done though.
