A friend has given me his fj45 cab and chassis to drive for a couple weeks. I am thinking that he is thinking I won't be able to give it back. Went driving tonight and found a couple of things I have to ask about. Firstly, is it always hot in the cab? It seems there is a great amount of engine heat making it's way into the cab. Secondly, how do tall drivers drive these units? I am only 6'4" but it seems the pedals are awfully close to the seat and hard to get my legs under the steering wheel. Can the pedals be adjusted or would I be doomed to an uncomfortable driving position?
Thanks in advance!

If you take up road cycling for a while, the cab of an FJ45 will feel very comfortable. Otherwise, you'd better just be naturally flexible!

Nice lookin truck you got there :D That back wall may present a problem on the leg room issue.

I'm 6'4" also. Changed the seats in my 40' and made a world of difference. Your results may vary :grinpimp:

Best of luck.

check to see if the heater valve is working. some times they rust in the open position and coolent is flowing through the heater all the time. Feel the heater box, and if it is very hot the fluid is passing through it.

Try this. Fold the back of the seat down and then push the seat to the farthest postion away from the pedals. You may not be able to get the seat back to lock in place but you gain an extra inch or two of leg room.
