Newbie here with LX?|

Hi all, great forum. I've already seen lots of good tech articles and write ups. This is my first 80 but I've had 3 4Runners and a Tacoma. I'm not a hardcore offroader or rock crawler but I do like to go trail riding.

My question is will the rear metal bumper cover fit on my LX?

And is there a trick to fit the front LC mud flaps on my LX? I've removes the running boards and found the mud flaps on a LC at a junk yard. Is it easier to trim the flares of the mud guards?

welcome to mud ************ My LX is almost exactly the same. If you're referring to the aluminum step found on the rear of LC's, then yes, it does bolt right up. Here's a link: https://forum.ih8mud.com/80-series-tech/141641-rear-aluminum-step-lx450.html
I'm in the middle of doing the same on mine. Remove the corner bumper covers and metal frames and you can get to the four bolts that hold down the center section. Same bolt pattern as aluminum step.

P.S. If you found an 80 in a junkyard, pull as many parts as you think you'll need. Hazard/CDL swith at the very least. When you're done, share the location with the forum so the rest of the vultures can pick it clean!

Thanks for the quick reply. The pics were exactally what I wanted to see. I'm actually thinking about buying the LC from the junkyard. It isn't wrecked bad and the body is mostly there. It would suck for it to go to the crusher. I just have to figure out where I'm going to sleep!

Welcome to mud! Huh, gooder! I thought it is more better

As for front mud guard from a LC, you need the one that came from 93 to 97 front mudguards and yes they will fit. The one from 91-92 are narrower than 93-97 LCs.
