Ace Hardware has a lot of different size grade 8 bolts compare with Lowes, Auto Zone, etc....

Was wondering the same - if you go and pick up, will you please post all that you used? thanks.
Will do! I found some info but not sure if it is accurate, says hitch bolts are the following-14x1.5 pitch grade 9.

M14x1.5 is correct. I used Class 10.9 and 50mm long.

The quality of hardware store bolts like this is sub par compared to Toyota. The bolts will rust easily, so be sure to apply antiseize to the threads. Your future self will thank you.

Are these the ones that screw into the welded nuts? I know the rear bolts are shorter.

All 4 fastener locations on the rear frame rail are M14x1.5 and screw into weld nuts. Most hitches only use 3 of the 4 (2 that held stock tow hooks on and 1 the furthest from the bumper). I used the 50mm long hardware store bolt in the spot furthest from the bumper. You can see the hardware store bolt in the 'ratchet strap' picture previously posted. I seriously doubt the fastener length is critical here as long as it clears the length of the weld nut. I do not recall anything inside the frame that would interfere with a bolt that is longer than necessary.

I have a 2006 land cruiser and can't find any Toyota part numbers for hitch bolts. My factory (I believe, second owner) hitch uses three bolts on each side - 2 long ones that attach bracket, hook, and hitch to frame and 1 shorter one for the other hitch to frame position. Are there any Toyota part numbers for these or should I just go find M14x1.5 grade 9 anywhere? I'll measure the lengths.
