Thanks for letting me in! I have 1983 FJ40, power steering, power brakes, dealer installed A/C and dealer installed WARN hubs. 5,580 original miles. All original except for the battery and the oil filter. Yes, 5580 original miles. Beige with some rust, mostly on the lower corners of the cab of the ambulance door area.

I towed it home as I wanted the check the brakes. Started and ran fine, a little squirt of WD40 down the carb did the trick. Hadn't been started in 2 years

That's an unbelievable find for a forty year old truck. These things can be very prone to rust, so as you become familiar with your vehicle, your definition of "with some rust" could change. It's the hidden and not so obvious stuff that's insidious. I would be so lucky to have my '72 cancer ridden truck look so good, and actually be able to drive it. How about some interior and engine bay pics?
