New to the Forum and 1st Time LX570 Owner

2014 LX570 with just under 78k miles, bone stock beauty with little rust:

Tinted the windows, purchased all weather mats from the driver floor mat area to the trunk, ordered a new front emblem (the current one is sun beaten), and working on all the fluids and maintenance needed to keep my part of the maintenance going as the new owner. This will be a full time family car and part time off road family outing vehicle for the trails, lakes, and mountains. Currently looking at rim and tire options for the short term which research has lead me towards 17’s with 33-34’s for the time being. Once they wear I’ll be ready for the work needed to fit 35’s at least on the same 17’s or bigger if I’m up for it.

Open to all advice, criticisms, and motivation to get my mind right and build a proper LX/LC geared towards family outings.

You'll probably read this in your research but the sweet spot is staying between +25 and +35 offset. That will allow total clearance without any work with most tires up to 34". You can technically fit skinny 37s with stock offset.

I've got +10s that came on my rig and they dont rub with 33.4" tires but they very likely would if I bumped to a 34". Full sensor lift.

If you find that you want some oem+ looking phone mount options, plug and play cargo light, or even better rear cupholders for kiddos, check out the stuff I've designed.

Welcome to the forums and that's a mighty fine rig. All the possibilities. Caution, the mod bug can bite. Hard.

The best piece of advice I can offer is to figure out how you use the vehicle, what you enjoy, and what you need. Rather than build it to some perceived image you might have seen on the gram. Just saying it's much easier to make it worse than better.

It doesn't need much, but perhaps a great way to start is to slap on some 295/55/r20 ATs on those factory wheels with 1-in spacers. Maybe a mild sensor lift. She'll do just about everything while you hone in on how you want to build the rest of the vehicle.

Thanks for the advice! I’ve read that 17x8.5 +35 is a good spot for 33’s-34’s without rubbing/modifications.

Thank you! Definitely not rushing into the build, big on doing my research and a buy once, cry once kid of guy. It’s very capable as is and want to make sure everything maintenance wise is covered before the build to give us peace of mind as well!

It’s a cool feature, but can be kind of annoying as well. Love all the bells and whistles, slowly getting use to it and learning more about its features.
