Oven Mod?

So are you doing the Easy-Bake oven mod for the girls?

I'm thinking some pink and purple would go good on the big white beast...

Tires are pretty amazing! Aside from looking sick they really grab hold and don't pretty go.

STOP!

At least that's the goal. :grinpimp:

Good work Knolly

Backstory. Knolly's 80 had a bad caliper on the PS (that is what is left of of the pad). He got a OEM reman from Wheelers. Upon removal saw the damage. Called up Napa, no 80 pads. But they did have 100 series pads. I already have new rotors and pads sitting at my house, so we decided to put my yr old napa ceramics on his truck, put the 100 series pads on mine know his will be toast in no time. When we swap axles he will end up with the 100 series pads and will put the new rotors and pads on mine.

For now both trucks are mobile and stop ;)

Wish we could have taken a good picture of the matching inside of the rotor. Thanks again for all the help yesterday Ty, without your rig to do some swapping with I'd have been up a creek!

Rotors look like some of my favorite albums!! :hillbilly:

So with no factory stereo bracket we fabricated them...worked in stereo install until 1:30 am ish. But it came out really nice.

Then this morning after walking past the huge puddle of power steering fluid (oh yeah started hemorrhaging again) Tyler was DBT before eight am. Yip he found my rear end rattle:

"there's your problem...that bolt head is sheared off and your mounting bracket is twisted....good luck with that"

And then he welded through the frame....

J/k ;)

FWIW the deck I picked out for Knolly ended up being a Kenwood KDC-BT752HD. Was not really hand picked just found it as a open box deal and BestBuy. For a sub $200 deck and little searching can be had for $130-$150.

Im pretty impressed with it. Has all the cool features and hookups + simple design.

I may be picking one up for myself.

CB, but yes with slight modification vs complete fabrication.

Found the steering gear was leading from the input seal. After weighing options opted to rebuild what I had. Thank you again for you're help to this point gnob! Never would have gotten Pitman arm off without your puller (and the for foot long breaker bar...with eleven 1/4 turns before it exploded off).
Here are some pictures of where I'm at so far.

Starting clean:

Coming apart nicely:

Sector shaft out, not twisted or worn too badly:

Things got a little less pleasant...

10 mm Allen bolt piston thing...oh yeah and there aren't any more in the continental united states. Should have gone against c dan advise and ordered the only one in existence when he said I shouldn't need it. ...but yeah great planning Toyota, use a shallow Allen hole fur such an important and absolutely must remove part.

Penetrating oil helped not at all:

Cold chisel...also no help:

Weld nut to it/add heat:

Six nuts later came half out, seventh did the trick:
