New to FJ40s, getting a 1969

I would rent a trailer and use a come-a-long to winch it onto the trailer. Lots of muscle work, but would be cheaper, especally if you have a long haul. You will need straps and chains to strap it down with.
Might also consider a two wheel tow dolly. hope this helps

No rock crawler - I'm a stock kind of guy. I'm keeping it as original as possible.
 
It's great being able to buy it from someone you know. That way you know what's been done to it and how it's been treated. Very nice restorer.
 
Congrats! I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I think that pic in the rear view mirror is Awesome! You're gonna love the 40.. then hate it for a minute.. but you'll figure it out & love it again pretty quick. :o Enjoy.
 
This is my 69 when I first got it home. I am now putting everything back together. Should be done by January 2012

Cool. Mind if I ask you questions from time to time, seeing as how we own sister ships?
