While Phase I of this project is seein' some significant progress at IPOR, I skipped right over Phase II and bought the first component of Phase III this weekend. :D

Picked 'er up in Delaware so saved on the sales tax. Sweet ride. 29" mud tires, damn-near 5" of suspension travel front and rear, hydraulic disc brakes front and rear, and 30 friggin' forward gears.

I'll get some pics posted up when I get back to South Carolina in a few days.

:flamingo:

Great job sir!

Finally them boys from IPOR got the idea of what this project requires to be on this forum(pix)...

Did you forget to tell'em that you are the Commander and Chief of this tough group?

and that you're projects are detail document till the last bolt....

Great project and a big hand to Vince.

If you bought a mountain bike, I want to see video of the maiden voyage.

:hillbilly:

Indeed I did ... and a pretty nice one too!

Check it out here:

Maiden voyage started off pretty slow tryin' to get the air pressure right in the suspension systems. Once I got that cyphered out though, ride went well. Just like the old days ... 'cept a whole lot nicer ride. Ain't perfected the hi-tech shifters just yet but lil' time in the saddle will take care of that. Hope to hit some trails in the Francis Marion National Forest this weekend if'n I can sneak outta work early and it ain't rainin'.

Ain't sure they're all too impressed with that.:lol:

Vince will make it fit and look factory while doing it

You're correct sir! And here's the proof ...

Sadly, Commander in Chief does not garner the level of respect it once did in this country.

(No reflection on you Kowboy;) )

Trojan Lambskins. :rimshot

An excellent choice ... at least in the eyes of Interco ... :grinpimp:

"The design comes close to being two tires in one... a revolutionary design that has earned its place in the legendary ranks of Super Performance."

Sadly ... don't come in the size I want.

:flamingo:

What size are you after. I have 5 brand new 305/70R16 TSL Radials that I will be selling. Replacement certificates from 4 Wheel Parts.

Those won't fit an 80 will they?

I'm goin' with 37's on 17's. :meh:

:flamingo:

What...37's ???

Whatever happen to the big tires?

at least 40's! :hhmm:

that big ass truck is going to be draggin her ass...:hillbilly:

How do I know??? Last time I brought my 40 to Superlift I was dragging the 14bolt everywhere...

....As of now my 40 still sitting on the 37's.

The suspension is done, drivetrain is all one ton. locked front and rear...

...sorry sir I am failing on rule# 1 It does not look good at al' :grinpimp:

but like Roger said..."our trucks are more based on performance then the looks..":hillbilly:

I'll have plenty of clearance under the rear diff with my 37's ... just wait and see.

:flamingo:

So my high-dollar, super-pimpin', ultra-cool, rear bumper showed up yesterday at Iron Pig.

... and it looks like it's first test was survivin' the fellas at FedEx freight.

Gotta love all the "fragile" stickers.:lol:
