Remove the amp and use the space for accessories. I put a bluetooth adapter there. I just bent a metal strap in my bench vise for the bracket.

Yes the door speakers and the little speakers under the dash are parallel but is the amonis bypassed the LX will lose the small useless sub in the consol but tabjot that much to cry about.
Also the little sash speakers are useless too and pointed the wrong direction so just disconnect them like many of us.
i just put a Sony DAB+ double din head unit in mine and took the glove box out to disconnect the factory amp but there doesnt seem to be one there?
Mine is a 95 GXL update (same dash as 96/97 etc) I could see the main computer there as its labelled 1fzfe however could not see the amp that everyone refers to
Do all FZJ80's have this amp? Maybe Australian delivery ones dont have it?
The stereo that was in ( radio / cassette & separate CD setup as double din) is the one that the car came with when I bought it brand new so thought id give it a 25yr birthday present
The new head unit appears to work fine

Does anyone know where to get replacement quick connect harnesses for the front door speakers? I have a ‘96. PO cut so close to the plug on the harness I can’t wire new speaker wires in to the plugs on the speakers, which I would like to keep. Any help would be appreciated!
